I got that name Dread at the controls from been at the controls controlling
the music from JBC to the nation playing the peoples favorite jams and
dubplates
When
did you started singing and found your unique style? when did you recorded
your first song (as singer)?
My first song:"Love the Dread" was recorded at King Tubby Studio
in Waterhouse in Kingston 1977.I knew my style was different as I tried
to find something I call "Natural tone" so I sound like me.
Once you hear me talk you know you've heard that voice before.
Like

The Clash.Well I worked with them on some songs that to me revolutionize
the world of Rock Music.I was happy to work with them. They always made

to open up the minds of the people so we know we have no boundaries and
our souls will shine above all borders

Reggae is for all people regardless of race culture or color.
Music is diverse and special.
It is energy..
My music is a therapy for the soul.
After
more than 25 years involved in reggae music industry, you are considered
and recognized as a specialist and a pionneer in a lot of domain like
broadcasting (radio, TV), production, own music style (song), and you
never stop to take reggae door to door. And when i red your site biografy
i saw that you are also an eternal student , isn't it?
Yes man, knowledge is power.I took time out to do my studies as I love
communicating so I have to find ways of interpreting words with pictures
so I can send the right message and also I went into Video production
so I can preserve our heritage and give the world the story of reggae
that is complete without any hype, from a Jamaican point of view
Right now I am touring a lot in Hawaii and the United States of America.I
play with my band which is the original Soul Syndicate musicians like
Fully Fullwood on Bass,Santa Davis on Drums and Tony Chin on Guitars plus
